“The End is just the Beginning”

 My Accomplishment

            I consider preparing my instructional material which is a pocket chart as my accomplishment for this week. I was also given the chance to become the main facilitator for the declamation contest as well as the judge for the GRADE 8 Also I had my 1 rated demonstration as my accomplishment for this week.

Moreover, I was observed by my critique teacher in the laboratory high school. Fortunately, the flow of my lesson and discussion went well because most of my students cooperated. I also gave them a quiz about spelling, affixes, and the poem song of the flower. My critique teacher also advised us to prepare our instructional materials for the quiz since we have no idea that we need to prepare instructional materials so we need to rush. This week it was again a challenged for me to handle 2^nd years or Grade 8 when it comes to managing their noise inside my class and I need to adjust because of their behaviors.

I gave them a group reporting for the next day though some of them are not prepared so they asked for permission if they can continue doing it in school and my critique teacher said yes. During their reporting most of them are very eager to ask different questions for the reporters.  They even had a debate about their logo making activity.  It was indeed fun when you know that they are learning by means of asking questions. However, most of the comment in my evaluation form is that I am too kind, humble, and very approachable and has a positive attitude towards my students my critique teacher challenged me this week to enter the classroom seriously for me to be able to handle their behaviors during my rated demonstration.

My Significant Experience 

            My significant experience for this week was to be able to be observed by my critique teacher for my 1 lesson from Monday to Friday. I was also given the opportunity to become the judge for the declamation contest for the grade 8.At some point, this week gave me a lot of realizations since this week were full of requirements that need to be done including my rated demonstration with my supervising instructor.

 My Insights

            This week gave me a lot of realizations. Since I was able to become the main Facilitator and judge for the different competitions I am reflecting what would be my life for the next months when I am already in the field of Teaching. I also observed that my critique teacher has a lot of things to finish every day and she even thanked us for being her student teachers since we lessen her burden in the field of teaching. I realized that teaching is not an easy task since you are obliged to do a lot of stuffs.

My Problem 

The problem that I encountered this week is classroom management. It was quite difficult for me to manage their noise since it was my first time to enter their class since we handle different sections per day but I will think of the best strategy which will be very effective to them. But when my critique teacher advised me to enter in their classroom by means of not smiling and being serious it was quite effective.

My Solution

            I asked for some strategies that my critique teacher used all the time and I will try to imitate and integrate it in my class in a unique way. I also look for the best strategies that I can use in their class.

Goals for next week 

I will immediately approach my critique teacher and ask for a lesson to teach. Since, I know that I do not have enough time given to be able to finish 10 lesson plans with execution so I need to teach every other day. I still need to teach 1 lesson to be rated by my critique teacher.

“Epic Rush”

My Accomplishment 

            I consider preparing my instructional material which is a PowerPoint presentation as my accomplishment for this week. I was also given the chance to become the main facilitator for the spelling bee, essay writing, poem writing, and tongue twister competition for the GRADE 7-9 including the 4^th fourth years. Also I had my 4 rated demonstrations as my accomplishment for this week.

Moreover, I was observed the Learning Area Coordinators or LAC of the T.L.E and Religion subject in the laboratory high school. I was quite nervous when they entered the classroom and stayed there for an hour. I was also thinking what would be their comments and suggestions. Fortunately, the flow of my lesson and discussion went well because most of my students cooperated. It was a challenged for me to handle 2^nd years or Grade 8 when it comes to managing their noise inside my class and I need to adjust because of their behaviors. Unfortunately, I was quite shocked about the behaviors of students in the private school though I am aware of it most of them take their subjects for granted since I gave them a group reporting for the next day though some of them are not prepared so they asked for permission if they can continue doing it in school and my critique teacher said yes. During their reporting most of them are very eager to ask different questions for the reporters.  Moreover, I noticed that most of my students are active when I used different strategies to motivate them participate during my discussion one of that material is presenting a video clip entitled the FLOCABULARY  which is a RAP about PREFIXES AND SUFFIXES I observed that they had fun because it is within their level of interest and genre.

My Significant Experience 

            My significant experience for this week was to be able to be observed by my critique teacher and LAC of T.L.E and Religion for my 4 lessons from Monday to Thursday. At some point, this week gave me a lot of realizations since this week were full of requirements that need to be done including my rated demonstration with my supervising instructor.

 My Insights

            This week gave me a lot of realizations. Since I was able to become the main Facilitator for the different competitions I was quite reflecting what would be my life for the next months when I am already in the field of Teaching. I realized that as a teacher I must be creative, innovative, alert, and enthusiastic and possess more qualities for me to be able to touch the lives of my students. I gave “EPIC RUSH” as the title of my journal for this week because I need to do many tasks entrusted to me ahead of time for me not to be rushing during the given deadlines. As a teacher we should be dreaming, visualizing, planning, believing, and then acting for achieving targeted learning goals.  Finally, to sum it up “We don’t know it but the little things you give have the biggest effect in the LIFE of your STUDENTS.

“My Creative Faculties”

 My Accomplishment  

            I consider preparing my instructional material which is a PowerPoint presentation as my accomplishment for this week.  It is also an opportunity for me to share my skills in making the PowerPoint presentation useful for learning essay, poems, spelling, tongue twister, haiku poem, and including the theme for the English month celebration. Also 5 rated demonstration for the whole week as my accomplishment for this week.

Moreover, I was observed my critique teacher in the laboratory high school. It was a challenged for me to handle the 1 section of 2^nd years since I handle 4^th years in the public school and I need to adjust because of their behaviors. Unfortunately, I was quite shocked about the behaviors of students in the private school though I am aware of it but the moment I entered their class they were very quiet and the 2 student teachers was also speechless. It was very challenging in my part to think on effective strategies as well as activities that I need to prepare which will be very effective to the level of my diverse type of learners including a certain strategy that would be very helpful for me on how I will managed their classroom during my rated demonstration but at last I already know what to do. But fortunately I noticed that most of my students are active when I used different strategies to motivate them participate during my discussion one of that material is presenting a video clip entitled the voice of truth which contains how a person will develop his or her potentials.

At some point, this week gave me a lot of realizations since this week were full of requirements that need to be done including my rated demonstration with my supervising instructor.

My Insights 

            This week gave me a lot of realizations. Since I was able to teach the ENGLISH month’s theme for this year I realized if I was also able to hone these skills since I observed that all of them are talented. I realized that as a teacher I must be creative to sustain great success as teachers must think deeper than to just think. As a teacher we should be dreaming, visualizing, planning, believing, and then acting for achieving targeted learning goals.  Finally, creative teacher’s idea does not stop easily, it delivers a breakthrough of change which is explosive and self-accelerating which patience, dedication, passion can help. Just like ALBERT EINSTEIN once said “to invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk”.

  My Problem
