“Make
your Passion as your Profession”
As a student, I lead a life of honesty and simplicity. By habit I need to
wake up early from bed and do my daily routines and go to school
presentable. Usually I do my
requirements at home and it is against my principle to put of today’s work for
tomorrow but unfortunately last Friday (September 05, 2014) I am not prepared to
have my rated demonstration at exactly 7:30 am. Fortunately, I delivered the
lesson well since all of my students cooperated during the recitation. The
things that I accomplished this week are I had my 4 rated demonstration for 4
consecutive days handling 2 sections. My critique teacher also gave me a lot of
papers to check and a sample of Microsoft Excel where I will be going to encode
their scores; with the given short period of time I was able to finish it
before the deadline. My critique teacher also asked for my help in encoding the
daily schedule of 4th year faculty who handles English subject.
Lastly, it is also an accomplishment for me to get to know my students everyday
basing on how they behave during my class with the help of my ever supportive
critique teacher.

My significant experience for this week was
to be able to deliver my 4 rated demonstration every day. Moreover, I was able
to observe the different techniques, strategies in teaching students when I
entered section Valor and Peace which I don’t handle for now. It was also a
significant experience for me to be able to meet the expectations of my
students during my rated demonstration. I was also given the chance to prove
myself to the students who don’t even bother to listen by means of applying
some techniques that can encourage them to participate. Lastly, my significant
experience for this week was to be able to find out my passion that I am really
inclined with teaching as a profession.
In my case, college life has been hard days
and nights that I have been yearning for years. I am now facing higher education,
a new dimension that open doors to good fortune and brighter future. This week
made me realize that teaching will provide me more painstaking and nerve
wracking endeavors. It is my responsibility to continue honing my craft and
improving my self-worth as my students remains to be my source of encouragement
and inspirations to labor hard with love and devotion in order for me to impart
the knowledge they need.
The problem that I encountered again this
week is time management. I am hard up in managing my time and preparing my
lesson plan and instructional materials the whole night and I have no time to
sleep since I need to teach 7:30 am. I was about to give up either. Another
problem was when I got home this weekend. I was so tired that I just went to
lie down and sleep.
I
solved my problem by means of asking my co-students teachers help me prepare my
instructional materials and asked for their ideas regarding about my
lesson. As well as listing my priorities
for a particular day so that I will not end up rushing things.

Next week after the 3 days seminar of
scouting I will immediately approach my CT and ask for a lesson to teach.
Since, I know that I do not have enough time given to be able to finish 30
lesson plans with execution until the 24th of October so I need to teach every
day.
