WEEK NO. 10

“Moment of Truth”
My Accomplishment
I
consider preparing my instructional materials for my beloved critique teacher
as my accomplishment for this week. It
is also an opportunity for me to share my talent in coloring since my friend
helps me in drawing cartoon characters.
Moreover, I had my 4 rated
demonstrations for this week observed by my critique teacher. It was a
challenged for me to handle the 4 sections of the 4th years regular
since my critique teacher will not be around that day since she needs to defend
her thesis for her doctorate Degree in BSU (Benguet State University). It was
very challenging in my part to think on effective strategies as well as
activities that I need to prepare which will be very effective to the level of
my diverse type of learners.
This week for me is the
most unforgettable moment when I was able to teach for the whole day and it was
very overwhelming that despite of the feeling of being tired I still managed to
teach and maintain my enthusiasm in teaching until the last period and we had
fun. This week enable me to realize that indeed becoming a teacher is not a
piece of a cake.
I also become a proctor
for 2 days in the advisory class of my critique teacher during their
examination period and I was tasked to list down the names of students who are
cheating and its good news that they all behaved during the examination the 2
consecutive days for their periodical examination.
My Significant Experience 
My significant experience
for this week was to be able to execute 4 rated demonstrations with my critique
teacher. At some point, this week gave me a lot of realizations since this week
were full of requirements that need to be done. It was also a significant
experience for me to be observed by the head teacher of English Mr. Alipda
though he wasn’t able to observe me in the afternoon. It was fun though since I
already met him during our first week of deployment when he became the
substitute of my critique teacher Mrs. Jayrerose Guevara. It is indeed a
significant experience to be observed by other critique teachers since a lot of
expectations was vested upon you.
This week gave me a lot of
realizations. I realized that I really need to do advance reading before
entering the classroom and a lot of reference to be studied since my topic last
Monday is very difficult to understand and my students asked for more examples
good for me I prepared a lot of examples for them to be able to understand the
lesson clearly. I call this week as moment of truth since I realized that this
will be my second to the last week of staying in public school and I really
need to deliver my lessons in such a way that my students will not be bored and
will enjoy every hour of their life being with me playing the role of a student
teacher and indeed it was very effective and the class discussion was very
interactive.
My Problem 
The problem that I encountered this
week is time management. I have a hard time in managing my time in preparing
all the requirements needed in school.
My Solution
I solved my problem by means of setting my
goals and priorities using a planner as well as preparing a board for reminders
posted inside the wall of my bedroom which really helps a lot.
Goals for next week 
I will immediately
approach my critique teacher and ask for a lesson to teach. Since, I know that
I do not have enough time given to be able to finish 30 lesson plans with
execution until the 24th of October so I need to teach every day. I still need
to teach 4 lessons to be rated by my critique teacher before their semestral
break.
