WEEK NO. 8

“Break a Leg”
I consider preparing my instructional
materials and lesson plan for my rated demonstration as my accomplishment for
this week. At first, I find it difficult to prepare since my topic is an
excerpt from the Bible written by Sirach. It was a challenged for me on what
effective strategies as well as activities that I need to prepare which will be
very effective to the level of my diverse type of learners. This week I was
able to deliver my lesson last September 30, 2014 and I was observed by my
supervising instructor. Also, I was able to execute 5 lessons observed by my
critique teacher. This week for me is the most unforgettable moment since this
week will prove whether I am really for the Teaching profession or not and I
need to prove it with every lesson that I need to execute as well as during my
rated demonstration with my supervising instructor.
My
Significant Experience 
My
significant experience for this week was to be able to execute 5 rated
demonstrations with my critique teacher as well as 1 lesson with my supervising
instructor. At some point I find it very difficult to manage the classroom when
it comes to their noise so before my rated demonstration I observed my critique
teacher on how she manages the classroom. She also gave me some tips on how I
will going to manage the classroom in order to minimize their noise. The last
day of the month of September was full of fun since most of my students
participate actively during my rated demonstration most especially during the discussion.
This week, also was full of fun since we celebrated TEACHER’S DAY. We also had
our presentation which we sang songs dedicated to all teachers in BCNHS. I also
received flowers from my students which I did not expect them to do so, since
it was my first time I consider it as my
significant experience.
This
week gave me a lot of realizations. My personality and character are the two
important features that make me who I am and I get to know myself better the
moment I deliver my rated demonstration with my supervising instructor. During
the celebration of TEACHERS DAY, I realized that teaching is not measured by
your sacrifices but it is indeed a privilege since, everyone was not given the
chance to become a TEACHER.
Moreover,
this week really was one of the toughest days of my life aside from preparing
for my rated demonstration. Being down or depressed comes with everyone’s life
at some point. When I come across this point of my life, it is one of my
weakest situations. However, because of
the people around me and growing up in this environment mold me into a woman
that I have become today. Despite of all the problems I am struggling right now
I know that I still have everyone who provided me with the morals that I hold
to be true until now and I am still thankful and blessed because of the people
around me.
My
Problem 
The
problem that I encountered this week is classroom management. I have a hard
time in managing the classroom because of their noise.
I solved my problem by means of asking my
co-students teacher’s and critique teacher some strategies in managing the
classroom. So, I also integrated it inside my class which I find it very effective.
Goals
for next week 
I
will immediately approach my critique teacher and ask for a lesson to teach.
Since, I know that I do not have enough time given to be able to finish 30
lesson plans with execution until the 24th of October so I need to teach every
day. I still need to teach 11 lessons to be rated by my critique teacher before
their examination and semestral break.
